Vacuum digging is a cutting-edge and non-intrusive method used for digging and extracting earth or other substances from the ground using a highly-powered suction. It is sometimes referred to as ‘Suction Excavation’. Call us for more information
Industries Utilizing Vacuum Excavation
It is employed in multiple sectors including construction, utilities, and more and in several industries including Nuclear, Airports, Sub-Stations and many more. This method offers a safer and more effective alternative to conventional excavation techniques which have been used in the past. In the fast-paced landscape of major construction projects, the choice of tools and skills is a key decision that impacts the safety and success of every project. For
The Process of Vacuum Excavation
Vacuum excavation is conducted using a truck-mounted system which includes a vacuum pump, debris tank, and several hoses. The process begins by identifying the excavation site, and after marking it the vacuum excavation equipment starts working with a high-pressured air lance to loosen the soil. As the soil is removed, the underground utilities are gradually exposed and can be inspected visually, the loosened soil and debris are then sucked up through a large hose into a skip which is mounted on to the Vac-Ex machine for disposal or later reuse.
The excavated area is left clean and clear, ready for further inspection or installation. This method permits our team to carry out excavation close to underground utilities, and other sensitive areas with care, reducing the risk of any damages.
Why Choose Vacuum Excavation
There are multiple benefits to vacuum excavation.
- safety – by exposing underground utilities without causing any damage, vacuum excavation significantly reduces the risk of accidents and utility strikes, ensuring the safety of workers and the existing infrastructure in the vicinity. Also, its potential for tailored digging with little disturbance to the area.
- efficiency – meeting tight project deadlines, cutting costs by rapidly exposing buried utilities, and simplifying the digging process. Its eco-friendliness means it creates less noise, disruption, and dust than conventional methods, reducing its ecological footprint.
Why should you use Vacuum Excavation Specialists?
Vacuum excavation greatly improves traditional digging techniques and represents a major leap forward. It’s safer, more exact, and more eco-friendly compared to conventional techniques. Its adaptability, rapid pace, and benefits render it the best choice for various sectors. As we look ahead, the continued technological improvements promise that vacuum excavation will increasingly influence the future of construction and infrastructure. Talk to us
